The Dixie Lowfers were formed around 4 years ago by Andy Lowe, Sousaphone, the big white thing at the back! Nick-named "The white urinal" by his nephew.

The name Dixie Lowfers was suggested by his friend Lorna Mountford and is obviously a play on his surname and "Loafing around" which somehow seemed quite appropriate for musicians and in particular a Dixie Band.
